The Civitan Club of Frederick, Inc.
Welcome to the Civitan Club of Frederick!
We’re a group of neighbors, friends, and community members who come together to make a difference — especially for people with developmental disabilities.
As part of Civitan International, we join thousands of volunteers around the world who believe that kindness, service, and inclusion can change lives. Our members take part in hands-on projects, volunteer events, and fundraisers that support local programs and bring our community closer together.
Whether we’re organizing an event, lending a helping hand, or simply sharing a smile, our goal is to create opportunities for everyone to thrive.
If you’re looking for a fun, caring group that’s making a real impact in Frederick, we’d love to have you join us!
What is Civitan?
Civitan is an international volunteer organization dedicated to making our communities better through service, fellowship, and a shared commitment to helping others. Founded in 1917, Civitan’s mission is “building good citizenship through service to others.”
Our members work together on projects that support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as local community needs — from school initiatives and holiday events to fundraising and volunteer programs.
Civitan International also leads the way in research and advocacy through the Civitan International Research Center at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, advancing understanding and treatment of developmental disabilities.
Join us in serving, learning, and growing together — because when we give our time and hearts to others, we make the world a better place for everyone.
